Here I continued my experimentation but this time instead willow charcoal I used an Indian ink. First painting depicts my two teammates durning Brazilian Jim-Jitsu sparring. The black one is Pedro who tried pass Paul guard and in same time Paul trying catch Pedro in his technique. They skill are advanced and both know what each other tried to do. I could compare this to chess when players have to think 5 moves forward to catch opponent in trap.
In this painting I used plenty of water as an experimentation and used two different tones to separate and show contrast between two athletes.

Next one depict same situation but this time Pedro is on the top and Paul from bottom tried to sweep Pedro and Pedro across that using his hand to establish position.
Same here I used plenty of water to experiment with Indian Ink. For a background. I used scribbled technique. Result superised me and I will use different tones to show contrast between models.
Here again Pedro trying to pass Paul guard. This time I used my sketchbook size A4 and less water than before. In this painting I paint lines to make contrast between mat on the flor and walls.
*This experiments helped me with presenting action in my works… to get ‘action, live, movement effect I could make my paintings more unrealistic ,use transparent effect ,paint for example doubled parts of body to show movement or longer than normal parts of body…
