Today I participated in Fine Art Printing workshop. I saw very old simple machines to making pressure in proces of creating primary printing. After introduction I took ink then used roller to make it flat on the table and then when it was smooth I used roller to put one layer of ink to cover the half of plastic square. Then I took a brush and I used other side of brush to draw a tree in ink on plastic square. Next to ink other half I used an ink and normal side of brush to draw a birds. When I finished I “make a sandwich” that’s mean I put sheet of paper on table then on paper my plastic square and then another paper to transfer a drawn patter and another sheet of paper to cover and keep everything clean. After that I moved on to spinning special wheel to move my “sandwich” under pressure to transfer ink. Below I leaving a photo Of working table were I put ink on plastic square.
Here, below I leaving a photo which depict the final outcome.
*it could be useful in my project if I would like to create a fews prints ,I could make ink sketch and print it few times. Anyway It was good experience to learnt basics and how people printing before computer era started.
How could you use this in your project? Even if you don't the point is that you think about how useful this might be.
