Today I started experiments with sand on small canvas boards, I bought it in “works” shop last week. I began from prepare the background ,so I mixed white and blue colour and applied it to my canvas. As a reference I used photo of Koszalin Town Hall from 1969 taken by Wendołowski.

I covered all surface and then after 10 minutes it was dry, then I moved on to apply first details of grass and Town Hall.
To make a grass I used new brush with longer “bristles?”(long liner?) . For Town Hall I used standard round brush, at that moment I realise that I need tinier brush to create details. ,my was definitely to wide. Next time I have to try with smaller diameter. Next I used sand mixed with red acrylics and apply it on my canvas. Sand gives 3D effect on my artwork. Below I leaving my final outcome.
*In the next step I added mixed sand with paint to create a 3d surface.
As discussed last week, when you shoot your work take care over it! Would be good to see you edit this post and add a better shot of your colour sketch. Would like to hear more about what you thought of using texture (sand) in your work.
